Nashville Photos!

We love watching History Channel with Pawn Stars, American Pickers etc. When we are in the area we love to visit the shops. Last book tour we stopped at Gold & Silver Pawn in Las Vegas. This time we checked out Antique Archeology in Nashville.

While in Nashville, we had to visit Willy Nelson's store and WOW - there was the General Lee!

Photos From Tall Tales Book Shop in Atlanta!

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon at Tall Tales Book Shop in Atlanta, Georgia but I met a lovely lady who is a new new author. Paula Smith Broadnax is the proud author of her inspirational book, "Dreama, Hopes and Possibilities." It's her story of a dream come true after surviving breast cancer. Best wishes to Paula!

Tall Tales has a huge inventory of new books and a large, delightful children's section.

"Like" them on Facebook if you are a fan of Independent Bookshops!

Photos from Judy's Tack Shops in Tennessee!

Many thanks to MaryLisa and the rest of the gracious staff at both Judy's Tack Shop locations for hosting my events! Below are photos - the first ones are from the Germantown store where the kids had fun.

The other three are from their Franklin shop. There was a big horse show near their shop so we set up at her on site location on the showgrounds. The mini jumps are for kids, dogs and mini horses to jump!

Interesting Parks in GA & TN

Our first stop on my 2013 September Book Tour was in Decatur, Georgia for the huge annual book festival there where I met several children's authors. See my Facebook page of photos at https://www.facebook.com/sharon.miner1/media_set?set=a.10201879236882092.1073741827.1218550485&type=1

Then we enjoyed Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, GA. Lovely drive up and a spectacular waterfall. The start of the Appalachian Trail is also there - no, we did not walk it! (photos above)

Next (photos below) we visited Chickamauga National Military Park outside of Chattanooga, TN. Big Civil War Battlefield features a very educational Visitors Center with a movie, and a driving tour to see the statues and monuments honoring the military troops. Point Park and Lookout Mountain was also part in the war. There's a scary winding drive up the mountain but the view is amazing at the top! The second photo honors the Florida troop, and the third one is PA. I loved the riderless horse honoring WI.
